(Reviewing Work) Prof. Hao is an Associate Editor of Applied Thermal Engineering. I Assisted Prof. Hao with several works in this Journal, including preliminary review for some manuscripts received, preliminary judgement for their novelty and dealing with the corresponding data. In addition, I have reviewed 4 papers for the journal. From this work, I learned more about the hotpots and trends in energy field. I am more familiar with the operation process of a journal, which is of great benefit to my paper writing.

(Solar Chemical Syetem) I modeled and Simulated a high temperature reactor for splitting H2O, including optical design, partly geometrical design of the reactor, investigation of kinetics of CeOx and simulation of multiphysics. I also learned about the thermochemical redox cycles of CeOx in this reactor. From this experience, I learned how to design a chemical system coupled with other physical fields. I also realized how important the catalysts are in a chemical system.

(Hydrogen Production) I modeled and analyzed the thermodynamic and chemical kinetics of steam methane reforming in a high temperature reactor. From this experience, I learned another way to produce hydrogen and tried to find more ways to produce hydrogen energy.
(Experiment Experience) I joined in an experiment of steam methane reforming in a membrane reactor, including preparation of catalyst, establishment of experimental device and calculation of experimental results. It made me know how exciting the experiments are. Good results would give me a great sence of achievement, which is different from simulations and calculations.
(Creativity/Critical Thinking) I explored new methods of NOx removal and studied the ways of utilizing solar energy for NOx removal, including analysis of thermodynamics, calculations of chemical kinetics and investigations of the papers about various catalysts such as perovskite and molecular sieve. This experience gave me a great training of creativity and critical thinking.
